As a woman, finding space to use God-given gifts to build up the church can be challenging. There’s a temptation to push, complain, or give up.

In a conversation with Bethany Allen, Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Leadership Development at Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon, we discuss her journey to walking confidently and humbly in her teaching and pastoral gifts. She makes a call for anyone wanting to use their gifts to listen to the Spirit, trust where he’s leading, and focus on the advancement of the kingdom rather than self.

Regardless of where you fall on the complementarian or egalitarian spectrum, we can rejoice that the Holy Spirit has gifted men and women and wants them to flourish together in ministry for his glory.

As a bonus, Bethany gives an inside look at her sermon prep process and how she prays through painful seasons.

If you want to be built up by a sister who exudes wisdom and is fully submitted to the Spirit of Jesus, tune into this episode!
